Joe Perkins has over three decades of financial and strategic leadership in the automotive industry. Additionally, Mr. Perkins has a successful track record of managing complex global operations and transactions for original equipment manufacturers and tier 1 automotive suppliers at the plant, divisional and corporate levels.
Before joining Busche Performance Group, Mr. Perkins served as Chief Financial Officer of Joyson Safety Systems f/k/a Key Safety Systems. In this position, Mr. Perkins supervised the global purchase of a significant portion of Takata’s assets. Following the closure of the Takata transaction, Mr. Perkins oversaw the successful integration of the $7 billion combined Joyson/Key Safety enterprise, as well as Joyson’s transition from a private company to a publicly listed company on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Key Safety Systems, Mr. Perkins served as Chief Financial Officer of Nexteer Automotive where he drove several transformative initiatives, including a pivotal role in Nexteer’s successful IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Mr. Perkins earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA from Wayne State University. Mr. Perkins is active in the Metro-Detroit community and has extensive non-profit board experience.
Casey Chaudry has over 25 years of experience in all facets of information technology (“IT”). This includes various roles in setting budgets, objectives, and strategies for IT departments. Mr. Chaudry is well versed in overseeing IT bid processes and selection of appropriate hardware and software to streamline business processes, optimize operational efficiencies and reduce security risks.
Mr. Chaudry has extensive experience with deployment and continuous improvement for manufacturing product planning and other key manufacturing processes. Additionally, Mr. Chaudry has developed level expertise in enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) and has overseen the successful enterprise-wide launch of the Plex ERP system for Busche Performance Group (“BPG”). Along with traditional IT launch activities related to the implementation of the Plex ERP system, Mr. Chaudry was responsible for establishing and maintaining an appropriate security infrastructure, contract negotiation for vendors and suppliers, launch project management and employee training.
Prior to joining BPG, Mr. Chaudry worked his way through the ranks from an entry-level IT Technician to IT Director. Mr. Chaudry has also owned and operated his own IT company. Mr. Chaudry maintains numerous certifications from Microsoft and Cisco.
Over the past three decades, Mr. Forbes has held leadership positions in automotive manufacturing, specifically aluminum casting, machining, and assembly. He has diverse management and technical background in the Automotive Aluminum Casting Industry where he has been engaged with customers such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, FCA Chrysler, Nissan, Honda, and others including Tier 2 suppliers.
Mr. Forbes’ expertise is in building the revenue and efficiencies of manufacturing plants, launching new operations and fostering a diverse workforce. Among the initiatives he leads, Mr. Forbes focuses on bringing BPG’s manufacturing plants together by operating as one team, while exploring avenues to effectively streamline operations to drive productivity and improve profitability. An innovative problem-solver centered on driving profitable growth, Doug values people, relationships and embodies true leadership.
Mr. Forbes is a Business graduate from the Indiana Tech University of Fort Wayne, IN.
With over 16 years of progressive financial management experience, primarily at global original equipment manufacturer part suppliers, Chris Lilla has extensive knowledge in navigating global organizations through M&A transactions, complex integrations and cost restructurings.
Before joining Busche Performance Group, Mr. Lilla served as Vice President of Strategic Finance at Joyson Safety Systems (“Joyson”) f/k/a Key Safety Systems (“Key”). While at Key, Mr. Lilla’s primary responsibility was to lead the global financial planning and analysis and business planning teams. Additionally, at Key, Mr. Lilla served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller (“CAO”). In this role, Mr. Lilla oversaw the technical accounting, financial reporting, corporate internal controls functions, North America shared services, and accounting systems. Before joining Joyson, Mr. Lilla served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Federal-Mogul Powertrain and held several progressive leadership roles at Delphi and KPMG LLP.
Mr. Lilla is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts and a Master’s of Science in Accounting. Mr. Lilla is also a certified public accountant.
Mr. Ryner brings 21 years of automotive and heavy-duty market experience in manufacturing engineering, product development, program management, business development, operations management, and executive leadership. He has successfully led the development and launch of numerous chassis, engine, transmission and driveline products.
During his career, Mr. Ryner has lead teams in automotive chassis and powertrain manufacturing with responsibility for a multitude of Tier 1, vertically integrated lightweight chassis solutions and several key conversions from cast iron to aluminum. Mr. Ryner started his career at Simpson Industries/Metaldyne as a manufacturing engineer before advancing to engineering and executive leadership roles with the founding members of DMI and ROI, giving him a unique manufacturing background in both advanced machining and high-integrity casting processes. In addition, he also brings strength in M&A and integration strategies to the BPG team.
Mr. Ryner received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Purdue University.
With over three decades of sales, marketing and design engineering experience in the automotive casting industry, Mike brings extensive experience and diverse background in the sector.
Previously, Mr. Weber served as VP of Sales & Marketing and Sales Director at Compass Automotive Group, where he led the company’s sales and new business development activities. Prior to joining Compass Automotive Group Mr. Weber served as new business development manager for Hayes Lemmerz International, a leading global supplier of suspension components. He was also a new business development manager for CMI International, a leading global supplier of suspension, powertrain and braking components.
Mr. Weber earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baker College.
With over a decade of experience driving domestic and international purchasing, formulating and implementing process improvements, and introducing cost saving strategies, Mr. Yono leads a team of experienced purchasing professionals across BPG’s global operations.
Mr. Yono oversees supporting multiple product launches by aggressively managing the company’s procurement efforts as BPG expands business by leveraging an integrated model to consistently deliver high-quality, safety-critical, lightweight components at scale. He is responsible for managing deep supplier relationships that enable BPG to transition into a larger and more diversified enterprise and support the evolving needs of our partners.
Mr. Yono previously held several positions with incremental levels of responsibility at General Motors. In his roles, he managed $1 Billion of annualized purchase value, sourced $100 million in next generation full size trucks and significantly reduced cost, and led and executed a supplier compression strategy that cut the number of suppliers GM worked with in half. Mr. Yono is a graduate of Kettering University with an M.S. in manufacturing and supply chain management and B.S. in business administration.
Ms. Bell has built her legal career in the global automotive industry. For more than a decade, she has represented and advised corporations, providing both strategic and practical legal counsel. She has supported automotive organizations in key areas of their businesses including commercial transactions, OEM relationships, compliance, employment and labor, intellectual property, product safety, corporate governance, litigation, and M&A.
Before joining Busche Performance Group, Ms. Bell served as in-house counsel for Brose North America, a Germany-based global automotive supplier, where she was responsible for legal and regulatory matters in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Prior to joining Brose, Ms. Bell served as general counsel for a global corporate consulting firm and as in-house counsel for Behr America (now Mahle Industries).
Holding Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy, Ms. Bell is a former president of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association and former president of the Business Law Association at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She currently serves on the executive committee of an international service organization.
Mr. Flynn has been working within the automotive manufacturing operations and leadership industry for over 30 years. Prior to accepting his new position with Busche Performance Group, Mr. Flynn was the Director of Operations for Dexter Axle. He has extensive experience working within large facilities of high precision machining, assembly and management of all key disciplines.
Before joining Busche Performance Group, Mr. Flynn served as Director of Operations for Dexter Axle in Albion, Indiana. In this position he held full P&L responsibility for 5 plants, with 800 direct and indirect employees, along with 70 salaried employees. This responsibility included: Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Safety and Continuous Improvement. Mr. Flynn has held positions of Plant Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President of Precision Operations for GT Technologies. Mr. Flynn served as Plant Manager for multiple facilities for Simpson Industries for over 26 years.
Mr. Flynn earned an Associate of Science in Business, ASB; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration B.S.B.A; from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, and Master of Science in Business Administration M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Ms. Yelinek has worked in the Human Resources field for the last 25 years. Ms. Yelinek has received a master’s degree in Human Resources Mgmt. from Central Michigan University. Ms. Yelinek has worked as an adjunct professor at Northwood University for 5 years teaching Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior.
